How to make Office Desk Attractive??

I love greenery around me. Whenever I get time I talk to my little kids in my garden. I was always wondering how I can start my ‘Go Green’ Initiative in my office bay. Suddenly came across this thought of money plant.
All you need for this beautiful workplace greenery effect is:
  1. 1.    Used plastic bottle
  2. 2.       Money Plant (make sure there is alteast 1 small root for your money plant)
  3. 3.       Some water(need to b changed every week)

Cut the top of bottle and use the bottom part for money plant. (Do not throw away the top portion. I will teach you to create flower out of the scrap.) Do not shake the water always. Make sure to check the water everyday. Change the water every week. Within 10 days you will notice new roots and within few days you can find new leaves sprouting out. The joy that gives you when you personally experience this is immense and cannot be explained in words. Try out this simple step and enjoy your day.

Gooseberry / Amla

Gooseberry also known as ‘Amla’ in Hindi or ‘Nelikkya’ in Malayalam or ‘Nellikkai’ in Tamil is an edible fruit with sour taste when they are ripe and bitter taste when they are in initial stages of growth. Gooseberries which are usually found are the big round shaped ones which are very good for hair and is used in various ayurvedic medicines. Its believed that one gooseberry can keep away from all the stomach related problems. Its recommended by the grannies to drink ‘Nellikarishtam’ , an ayurvedic medicine made out of syrup of gooseberries every day.

These are slightly different varieties. These are even sourer. They were most kids favorite when served with salt and red chili powder. My mouth starts watering whenever I see them. It’s hard to find the smaller ones these days. The pickles done with these are just mind blowing.

A week all alone at home

‘We have started. Take care of yourself. Eat properly and Sleep Well. Don’t forget to lock the door and turn off the gas before you sleep. In case of any emergency always call immediately dear’ said my mom. ‘Happy Journey ma’ I replied back and cut the call. Unlike every other day when my mom used to open the door for me when I ring the calling bell, there was no one to open the door today. I stood a while on the veranda and then searched for the door key in my bag. Opened the door and it was complete darkness. I switched on the light and entered the main room. It was not a usual experience. The house was all silent and there was no sound that I could hear except for the vehicles moving on the road opposite to the main door. I locked the door and sat for a while on sofa. I made myself realize that for the next 1 week this house would be all mine. There would be no one to control me or scold me or bother me or advice me. I was happy. But to bring me back to reality I heard the lizard making unusual sound and I was a bit scared because of the extra effects that my loved friends and colleagues had given me when I told them that I would be all alone at home. All the scenes that they explained at office and over the phone came into reality for a second in front of my eyes. Still with bold heart I first opened all the doors of every room and made sure that no one was inside the house. I searched every nook and corner, (under the bed/shelves balcony and all other places where a person can hide out in the house). To my relief no one was there. I refreshed myself and after some time made myself comfortable with the television. Thanks to my loveable parents they had prepared the dinner for the day before leaving. I looked at the clock it was 10 PM. Chatted for a while on FB. One of my friends there explained various situations which made me a bit scary. I didn’t want to spend more of my night thinking about all those, so decided to sleep. Before I left to my room I made sure thrice that the door is properly locked and all the other rooms too are locked. I finally fell asleep peacefully.
My eyes broke open and when I noticed there was little light that came in through the small uncovered section of window where the curtain was not properly covered. I took my mobile to check the time. My bad luck it was only 6:45 AM. Never have I wished to get up so early but this generally happens every time when it’s a holiday I get up early and actually when I need to go to office I get up Late. But I have a bad habit once I get up I never go back to sleep after that. So with no interest walked here and there inside the house. Wasted sometime on TV and then went to kitchen to clean the vessels. Got ready with daily activities and then realized that I had to make food for myself. I decided to make rice and some curry. ‘What did mom say about the ratio?? 1:3?? 1:2?? 2:1?? 1:1??’ all combinations went in my mind. She had told me thousand times about the ratio how to prepare rice. Never did I take any of her advices seriously. Now I wish I had.. Just that ratio… With some blind luck I took 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water and waited for 3 whistles in the pressure cooker. I actually like experimenting in kitchen. I thought this was the right time to do it. Browsed across lot of various articles and finally landed up in Aloo Mutter. The result was really good except that I had put very less salt which I managed later. So with that managed the breakfast and lunch. For dinner made appams and day was over. Yet another day got to an end without any difficulty. The practice of checking the door thrice continued. The next day too woke up almost around 7 and did the usual work then spent some time with the plants in the balcony. Dint try to explore more made a normal dish to go with rice and dinner made dosa with the batter which mom prepared before leaving. Thanks to her I could survive many more days all alone also. Days passed and every day the same procedure followed.
But that day around 3 PM someone had pressed the calling bell. I didn’t dare to open the door so opened that glass window next to door. It was the watchman to give the electricity bell. I got relived. Everyday there was a regular call from both dad and sis to make sure that all was well at my end. An hour later got another bell. I opened the window. There was no one. I opened the door to check who it was. But there was no one. I got a bit scared that day and the whole night until I went to deep sleep various things started to haunt me. It’s not that I am staying all alone for the first time. I had done this during my sister’s wedding preparations were going on.
As days passed more than being scared the feeling of boredom was tough to handle I tried to keep myself occupied with many movies. Days pass so fast these days. I had wished many a times to be all alone in the house and have a time of my own without anyone’s disturbance. When I have them all I feel it’s incomplete. Without having fights with mom and listening to the advices from dad the house is so incomplete. How much ever I wish to be alone I never want to separate myself from them. Time spent with family and friends will always be cherished even when you are all alone. Without them life is of no meaning. Those fights, small criticism, lots of advices and restrictions there won’t be any fun to life. Thankful to God that I have had the best of best always be it my family or the friends.

Experience at Manchanabele

So we started our journey from Madiwala at around 7:45 AM and went along the mysore road so that we could pick up all our other collegues in the route. We boared a 47 seater non AC bus from the private agency and started off the journey. Unlike any other day in Bangalore, that particular day was very hot(still wondering y the agni devatha was very angry on us as a reason of which it was the hottest day ever experienced in Bangalore). The Mysore road was not that smooth initially but we preferred this as this didn’t have any toll while the nice road had few. We reached the spot at 10 AM .
The first look at the place and I was like’Really?? U guys are kidding ..’ It was like some village kind of a thing and we had to pass aross some 3-4 kms by foot to reach the Manchanabele dam. The road in the journey was too bad. It was literally like a trek . Advice you all to wear a proper shoe while you visit this place. It was too hot that caps, sun screen lotions and sun glasses were a must for us. If you have a bunch of friends to gossip and go this place would be good except that you watch every foot that you keep. There were lots of stuffs on the way including the dead snake. All around you find rocks and dry grass and wild trees

Once you think that the journey is over and you have reached the spot the guide wil inform you that its just the half distance that you have crossd and you still have another half to cross across.

So we guys were split up based on the stamina. Some paused to take a break and other few to take some snaps across. After a few minutes when you realize that all your other friends have actually left passing you, that’s when you actually pack up and start moving from the place stopped.
Once you have climbed the rocks and passed a few distance you actually get to see the first glimpse of water at Manchanabele. I cannot explain the joy on every single face that was felt when they saw it from the top view. All had just one thought in their mind,’I want to jump in ‘
I was jumping in joy when I saw the water. After having walked so long in the hot sun was soothing when we actually found some water to float in.
The water looked clear from the top. So was the view . It looked very narrow from the top and had a kind of India Map shape in some random way.

The entire team was so tired that we all took a break and had the lunch there itself. Few took some rest other few played a few activities on the bare land near by.  We had our lunch at around 2 and decided to  jump in the water at around 2:45 PM. It was then when I stepped into the water that I realized that the water was not the same as it looked like. It was full of dirt. The underground dirt started flowing up as soon as the team members entered into it. The depth was around 10-15 feet so incase if you don’t know swimming please carry a life jacket with you.
For those who know swimming  this will be one the best place to dive in. Initially near the stepping place the water is nt that good but as you move along the water seemed good.Boating across to a larger distance would give you a wide view of the entire manchanabele dam.Photographers can get a wide varieties of clicks from the different kinds of birds that fly over to a variety of different carcass of species near by.
On the whole if you travel on a perfect Bangalore Climate then the place is really worth going for. If its on a sunny day I would rather advice you all to stay at home and enjoy some movie rather than walking for such a long distance

The Mask

Mask
Many a times when we actually think that we have known everything about a person and the person is worth trusting for, that’s when the reality gets struck in front of our eyes. That moment when the mask of a person is being torn into pieces just in front of your eyes, you feel lots of emotions within. Lots of questions, lots of anger and more often the trust that you had on the person is shattered into pieces. Most of the people that we come across are not real. Everyone wears a mask for some or the other reason. I am not saying that I am perfect I might be the one among them too who wear a mask for various reasons. But many a times I have wondered Y do we actually have to wear a mask? Y can’t we actually face the situation as it is? Might be because of the fear of lose.  Not worth keeping such people in your life. When you share so much to the person and that person breaks your trust is just not done. Wearing a mask and leading life might help in short span but in the long journey of life when the truth comes out you never know how bad the incidents can go on in each other’s life. Building trust in someone is always good provided the person is worth the trust. Most of us wear a mask in our daily life, a  few to forget their past, a few to impress others, a few to gain trust. Always remember that masks are temporary, so one day or the other the truth comes out in light and that day have guts to face it and admit it if you have committed some mistake.
