My college Hostel-My second home

I was actually sowed in a very happy protective family.I never had any complaints on my evolution into this universe except for the moments when my sweet sister grabs something from me.When I was enjoying all the beauties of nature a sudden storm arose and my whole dream was shattered into pieces.. :-( The thundering news was nothing but my dad's transfer and my sister's seperation.Though I dont show the actuall sentiments in front of her it so happens that when your dear ones seperate from you, the ganga of sorrow(tears of course!!) will definitely start flowing from your eyes in a faster pace. The same thing happened to me too.

Dad's transfer indirectly implied new surrondings, new friends, new college yet another time.I had actually completed my schooling and was about to enter into the "freebird college life"!He was actually posted in a rural area ,so finding a good college in that area was a bit difficult that too for a citybird like me.Dad actually tried many colleges near by, but to my surprise allmost everywhere they were giving preference only to caste rather than marks. Even after getting 90% marks it was difficult for me to get a computer science seat in the local colleges around for only reason that I was from an OC background.Only thing I heard people saying was "Ajar money hai to seat hai"..Still there were many to pay as much as 2.7laks for a normal B.Sc(Computer Technology) seat. But I felt really bad at one point, as I even after scoring 90% was denied a seat but the other person who scored less than 70% got the seat easily with black money. I was very clear in my point that if I study then it will be based only on the marks that I have scored and not because of someones recomendation or donation. As a result I lost few days of my college too yet achieved to get a seat in one of the finest colleges in coimbatore "CIT".

Till now everything was fine. The actual thunder occured when my mom said,"Let Sanju stay in hostel for 3 years as travelling 2 hours a day would be difficult for her!!". I was like "what???????? hostel?????? :-( noooooooooooooooooooo :-) never mind I m ready to travel but please mama no hostel :-( " But no use :-( They had already planned and so I was gonna miss my family :-( That was my first seperation from home.A day before joining hostel my sis too left to her workplace at mysore. So with all my sorrow buried within I headed towards my hostel. In my early days it appeared to me like a jail but as days passed by, I started liking the place friends and my room too.I got a room which was actually shared by 4 (including me).At first mess food which appeared like poison tasted sweet once we started liking it and it even went to that extent that hostel food was appreciated the most when compared to home food.

First year college life was actually fun and frightening though.Evening after the college all the hostellates will be called by the seniors seperately and ragged for fun,I was caught quite a few times!!Have really enjoyed a few of them but a few others I have strongly opposed as a result a few seniors are still against me and are still awaiting for an opportunity to trash me!!Second year got ourselves the pride of "seniors" and as days passed by the visits to home which was frequent during first year reduced to once in a month. We hostellates started loving it so much that most often days scholars used to get jealous of us!!

There were lots of benefits to a hostellate when compared to a dayskey, a few include:

1.Entering the class late and giving the silly excuse as "mess food was over and had to wait for it" or "water didn't come in hostel " etc., and every time the staffs accepted it :-)
2.Combine studies only on the day of the exam.( The previous night you can find all the lights in almost all the rooms blinking late night)
3.Unlimited gossips untill your mouth starts aching.
4.Unlimited outing with friends on weekends with no pressure from parents.
5.No lectures from parents (only on calls but thats adjustable)
6.No restrictions!!

Third year had the most of it!! Having placed in a MNC, lectures see u in high pride. We took the fullest advantage of it and bunked quite a few classes, boys were experts in that though. Hostel days was something everyone would treasure to have especially my same batch!!People say they see heaven only after their death but I experienced it when I was at CIT hostel!! I came across ways emotions, people with different habits behaviour and background in my 3 year hostel life.My rooms 216,324,415 have been with me all through my days :-) I m really proud to be a HOSTELLATE!!

Hostel lyf rocks!!

8th wonder in my flowerpot!!

It was a nice cool wednesday morning and I had just come out of my room to inhale some fresh air and to get a pleasent view of the lake which was just opposite to my apartment. As I was just brushing my hair off the cool breeze from the lake, I turned my vision suddenly to my flower pots.Thought of watering them that moment. So got myself a mug of water and started watering them,as gardening is one of my hobby!!
As I was examining my tiny little flowerpots, I came across something strange.Crap!! What the hell was that?? Something white in colour, hard in structure and oval in shape!! At  first was scared to even touch it ,actually didnt get an exact idea as to what it was :-) as it was buried almost 70% in mud. With all my guts I pulled that white little substance out of my flowerpot.Guess what it actually was?? Well, it was a pegion’s egg!!:-)Wow that too in my flower pot.It was like an 8th wonder for me!! I was really surprised to see such a thing that too in my flowerpot.I rushed to my mom, pulled her off the bed and called her to see that 8th wonder.I was so excited that day that I started calling all my friends and astarted sharing about this.
I actually wanted to examine with that egg but like every other movie here too their was a villian!! Tat was none other than my mom ;-(( hope she doesnt reads this!!). She just threw the egg away from the balcony all I can do was shout ‘Mmmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaa’! I had many plans running through my mind one of which even included waiting for the baby to hatch from the egg, and see it fly some day!! But alas, all could see was some liquid coming out of that broken egg.I felt too bad for the egg!!But it still remains to be my 8th wonder.;-);-):-)

Memories..Tym to recollect!!

Memories.. !! The word by itself creates a wonderful atmosphere around us..Every single soul in this universe is filled with memories.. Either sweet one or the most painful one..Even if a 5 year old kid is asked about his memories he would reply about his ‘first birthday gift’ of ‘the first time when he fell from the bicycle’ etc..By course of time our memories too increases.. Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose. We never remember the exact days most often but we would recollect the exact moment!!

Most of us would have some of the sweet memories of our childhood days when we used to distribute chocolates to our classmates on our birthdays, the scolding’s that we used to get from our parents on showing the report cards for getting low marks, the tug of war with our sister/brother for no reasons.. The PT hours that we had, street cricket matches, playing in the rain etc etc etc,As we get older the memories too started getting older with us with inclusion of few more sweet memories like our ‘first crush’, ‘first love’, ‘first sight’, ‘first bunk in college’, etc,.. A part from this a feeling of motherhood, the most painful moment when one of our close one expired… all these things can never be forgotten!!! Memories create a mark in the deepest part of life and there is no eraser to erase these marks.. Once marked they are permanent!!! A few of us including me have the practice of writing diaries, they are actually the best way to recollect your memories…Experience speaks!! Another way keeping them alive is through photographs!!When everything around you is odd, just rewind a few of the pages from your book of secrets,  even with no one around you will feel awesome and lost in your own world recollecting those memories…

Remember those moments when tears flew from your parents eyes feeling proud about their son/daughter’s achievement? Remember those moments when you were feeding food for your daughter.. ahh a true feeling of motherhood isn’t it.. Not only sweet memories.. Recollect those days when you had a tough time with your boss/pm… ha ha..:-) That was a terrifying day isn’t it?? Now when u think of it u would automatically smile at it.
Memories are sweet if the incidents in it are sweet. There are many such incidents in our lives that we never want to have a flash back of.A few of them include breakups, some worst moments, etc. When I asked my friends on their view of memories i got to hear one wierd answer.."I hate memories!!" I was at first shocked when I heard it, as according to me memories are something which brings a long smile on everyones face. But was convinced once I knew the reason..Memories remind us about the past and when one's past itself is something to be erased what fun in recollecting them back again?? But that occurs in 1 per 20 ratio..

What ever it is memories are precious, no wonder have to be warehoused.Smile at every moment of life and the difficult tasks will seem too easy..Enjoy every single moment of your life…Your smile can be someone else’s memory…Keep smiling!!:-) Live every second of your life, it’s Your life!!Treasure your memories for the rest of your life….

Long Live all memories!!
