Experience at Manchanabele

So we started our journey from Madiwala at around 7:45 AM and went along the mysore road so that we could pick up all our other collegues in the route. We boared a 47 seater non AC bus from the private agency and started off the journey. Unlike any other day in Bangalore, that particular day was very hot(still wondering y the agni devatha was very angry on us as a reason of which it was the hottest day ever experienced in Bangalore). The Mysore road was not that smooth initially but we preferred this as this didn’t have any toll while the nice road had few. We reached the spot at 10 AM .
The first look at the place and I was like’Really?? U guys are kidding ..’ It was like some village kind of a thing and we had to pass aross some 3-4 kms by foot to reach the Manchanabele dam. The road in the journey was too bad. It was literally like a trek . Advice you all to wear a proper shoe while you visit this place. It was too hot that caps, sun screen lotions and sun glasses were a must for us. If you have a bunch of friends to gossip and go this place would be good except that you watch every foot that you keep. There were lots of stuffs on the way including the dead snake. All around you find rocks and dry grass and wild trees

Once you think that the journey is over and you have reached the spot the guide wil inform you that its just the half distance that you have crossd and you still have another half to cross across.

So we guys were split up based on the stamina. Some paused to take a break and other few to take some snaps across. After a few minutes when you realize that all your other friends have actually left passing you, that’s when you actually pack up and start moving from the place stopped.
Once you have climbed the rocks and passed a few distance you actually get to see the first glimpse of water at Manchanabele. I cannot explain the joy on every single face that was felt when they saw it from the top view. All had just one thought in their mind,’I want to jump in ‘
I was jumping in joy when I saw the water. After having walked so long in the hot sun was soothing when we actually found some water to float in.
The water looked clear from the top. So was the view . It looked very narrow from the top and had a kind of India Map shape in some random way.

The entire team was so tired that we all took a break and had the lunch there itself. Few took some rest other few played a few activities on the bare land near by.  We had our lunch at around 2 and decided to  jump in the water at around 2:45 PM. It was then when I stepped into the water that I realized that the water was not the same as it looked like. It was full of dirt. The underground dirt started flowing up as soon as the team members entered into it. The depth was around 10-15 feet so incase if you don’t know swimming please carry a life jacket with you.
For those who know swimming  this will be one the best place to dive in. Initially near the stepping place the water is nt that good but as you move along the water seemed good.Boating across to a larger distance would give you a wide view of the entire manchanabele dam.Photographers can get a wide varieties of clicks from the different kinds of birds that fly over to a variety of different carcass of species near by.
On the whole if you travel on a perfect Bangalore Climate then the place is really worth going for. If its on a sunny day I would rather advice you all to stay at home and enjoy some movie rather than walking for such a long distance
